The Man With The Golden Gun Review
Title: The Man With The Golden Gun
Year: 1974
James Bond: Roger Moore
Plot: Scaramanga is a hit-man who charges a million dollars per job. He becomes linked to the death of a scientist working on a powerful solar cell, and James Bond is called in to investigate. As he tracks down Scaramanga, he realises that he is highly respected by the killer, but will this prove to be an advantage in the final showdown?
Personal Thoughts: When I was eight I had this one as my favourite Bondfilm. Alot has changed since I was eight. Sure, I like Roger as Bond and Chris Lee is a great Scaramanga, but that does'nt change the fact that this movie is so badly written and very badly directed. Plus I'm one of the few guys that does'nt find Britt Ekland hot AT ALL! And she's is a terrible actress! Maud Adams as Andrea Anders is on the other hand perfect and gorgeus and it's a shame that they kill her of so soon! They should have made her the main Bondgirl instead... As I said before, Roger Moore is my favourite Bond so I like him in all he's movies (apart from AVTAK) but he is a bit bitchy in this one. Christopher Lee as Scaramanga is perfect, but Lee's perfect in every movie he's in so that ain't news to anyone... The score is awful. Barry did a terrible job scoring the film. Lulu's song is okay, I'll suppose... I don't really like it. The whole movie just drags for me...
Rating: 5/10
