From Russia With Love
Titel: From Russia With Love
Release Date: 10th October 1963
James Bond: Sean Connery
Plot: James Bond 007 is on the search for a Russian decoding machine, known as Lektor. Bond needs to find this machine, before the evil SPECTRE organization discovers it first. Whilst being romantically linked with Russian girl, Tatiana Romanova, Bond sneaks his way around Istanbul, whilst each SPECTRE agent tries to pick him off, including the over powering Donald 'Red' Grant and ex-KGB agent Rosa Klebb who knows all the tricks in the books and even possesses an incredible poison tipped shoe!
Personal Thoughts
Well, FRWL is a great Bond-film but itīs not my favourite. There is a lot of spy-stuff going on and extremely much double-double-crossing. It holds a very slow pase but itīs still kind of gritty from time to time. I do like Robert Shaw and Lotte Lenya as Donald “Red” Grant and Rosa Klebb, though I kind of wish that the shoe gadget belonged to Bond. Spectre as a group is great in From Russia With Love but I do not like the voice of Blofeld for some reason. Now when I think of it, we do have a lot of villians in this one… Blofeld, Klebb, Kronsteen, Grant and Morzeny. Tatiana Romanova is a beautiful Bond-girl and Daniela Bianchi makes an excellent performance as the Russian agent. Itīs a shame that the movie has such a lame ending though…

Dr. No
Titel: Dr. No
Release Date: 5th October 1962
James Bond: Sean Connery
Plot: James Bond is Britain's top agent and is on an exciting mission, to solve the mysterious murder of a fellow agent. The task sends him to Jamaica, where he joins forces with Quarrel and a loyal CIA agent, Felix Leiter. While dodging tarantulas, "fire breathing dragons" and a trio of assassins, known as the three blind mice. Bond meets up with the beautiful Honey Ryder and goes face to face with the evil Dr. No
Personal Thoughts
I think that Dr. No is one of the best Bond-films ever made. The first five minutes are a bit fuzzy but then everything just slows down and we are introduced to James Bond. The way Connery delivers the “Bond… James Bond” is just SO BADASS! When the movie moves from England to Jamaica itīs all just classic Bond. Iīve always felt that the locations in Dr. No just screams 007, like the little house up in the mountains that Bond visits to see Miss Taro for example. The editing isnīt the best and there is a lot of obvious jumpcuts here and there but you just kind of forget those. Dr. No, Joseph Wiseman, as a villain is pretty bland and I think he could have been introduced a bit earlier in film. The henchmen are not that good either. Honestly, does anyone even remember Professor Dent or The Three Blind Mice? Ursula Andress is just stunning as Honey Rider. Sheīs absolutely breathtaking! When she comes out of the water, singing “Underneath The Mango”, you just forgets everything thatīs around you and just focus at her. All in all, Dr. No is an excellent piece of cinema!

Welcome to the ultimate James Bond Experience! On this blog I will be showing you guys my 007-collection. Iīve been collecting Bond-stuff for about seven years so I do have quite a big amount of stuff. I collect everything from toys to books to the movies. I will also do some 007 film-reviews and things like that. I will probably start with the reviews pretty soon, and the first film that I will be reviewing is "From Russia With Love". So if you are a Bond-fan, please stick around.
