In september, the website "From Sweden With Love" celebrated 10 years online by holding a gala to bring in some money to UNICEF. Apart from the gala they also had screenings of some of the older Bond-movies such as OHMSS and FYEO. The event started friday morning and ended sunday night. I arrived Friday night, just in time for the screening of FYEO. I'll tell you exactly how  it went! So I arrived in Stockholm with my father around 19:00 to check in to our hotel. The first thing I notice when we step inside is that my best friend is sitting in the lobby, waiting for us! He followed us up to our room and we all started to get exited about the weekend ahead! Me and my friend where the ones who was exited, since my father isn't as big of a Bondfan as we are. The time was moving so slow, so I took a shower and got propperly dressed for the evening (my Goldfinger T-shirt) while my friend just sat in a chair babbling on about how exited he was... I don't blame him. We had some snacks, and then... Finally it was 21:00! We left the hotel and started walking against the "Film Huset" (The Movie House). When we arrived we where both in Bond-mode! There was posters and flyers every where and I could'nt have been happier when I suddenly spies some one who look's an awful lot like Walther Gotell (General Gogol) so I start to joke about with my friend, Arvid, about Gotell but he just stod there starring into thin air. I asked him what was wrong when I realised that the man I thought was Walther Gotell, was actually my favourite Bond-director John Glen! And he was talking to legendary stuntman Paul Weston! They stod 5 meters from us! The two of just stood there, looking. After a minute or two we decided to walk up to them, and so we did! We started to walk against them. When we where 10 seconds away from them I started to think: "How do you make an impression on John Glen and Paul Weston?!". Suddenly he looked at me. "Hi there" he said. We said hi back and introduced us to them. I told them how big of a Bondfan I was and I could see in their eyes that they really did enjoying talking 007 with some fans. Glen asked me about wich film that was my favourite. I said "Moonraker" and he started to tell me stories of when he did the editing on "that one". After talking with about MR and Bond in general we finally asked if we could take some pictures with them. They said yes!

We thanked them and they said that it would be nice too see us again after the screening. We walked away. We sat down and I started to cry. I just could not take it all in! John Glen! The one and only John Glen! Together with Paul Weston! I have a clip on my phone that we shot seconds after talking to him. I'll make sure to upload that in the near future. After 10 minutes it was time to enter the main room too sit down and enjoy "FOR YOUR EYES ONLY " on the big screen, together with members of the cast and crew! It all felt so unreal! After sitting in the cinema for  five minutes we see Glen and Weston entering the local, and Glen waves to me!!! After them comes a man that both me and Arvid knew directly! It was John Moreno, a.k.a Luigi Ferrara! Now, this might sound stupid, but Luigi is one of my favourite characters in FYEO and so does my friend say aswell so we where both even more starstruck! All we could do was pray that we would get the chance to talk to him to! And so the host came in and introduced the movie and the guests aswell as holding a lottery wich neither Arvid, nor myself won. After that it was time for the movie itself, in 4K and everything! It was amazing! Can you imagine the feeling of watching a Bondfilm two meters from the director of it?! It was beautiful and the sound and picture quality was awsome! As the movie ended there was this Q and A with Glen, Moreno and Weston, where Moreno told us a very amusing story wich I will be sharing on an episode of "James Bond Radio" in the near future. I'll post it when it's done. After the Q and A we hurried down to the stage and we managed to get ahold of Moreno! I asked him if we could take a quick picture and he replied with: "Yes, a very quick one then..." but I did'nt care.

Wonderful man! After that we both returned to our hotel, so we could prepare for day 2!

So yeah, this was part 1 of 3! I hope you enjoyed it! Part 2 will shortly be uploaded!

The Man With The Golden Gun Review

Title: The Man With The Golden Gun

Year: 1974

James Bond: Roger Moore

Plot: Scaramanga is a hit-man who charges a million dollars per job. He becomes linked to the death of a scientist working on a powerful solar cell, and James Bond is called in to investigate. As he tracks down Scaramanga, he realises that he is highly respected by the killer, but will this prove to be an advantage in the final showdown?

Personal Thoughts: When I was eight I had this one as my favourite Bondfilm. Alot has changed since I was eight. Sure, I like Roger as Bond and Chris Lee is a great Scaramanga, but that does'nt change the fact that this movie is so badly written and very badly directed. Plus I'm one of the few guys that does'nt find Britt Ekland hot AT ALL! And she's is a terrible actress! Maud Adams as Andrea Anders is on the other hand perfect and gorgeus and it's a shame that they kill her of so soon! They should have made her the main Bondgirl instead... As I said before, Roger Moore is my favourite Bond so I like him in all he's movies (apart from AVTAK) but he is a bit bitchy in this one. Christopher Lee as Scaramanga is perfect, but Lee's perfect in every movie he's in so that ain't news to anyone... The score is awful. Barry did a terrible job scoring the film. Lulu's song is okay, I'll suppose... I don't really like it. The whole movie just drags for me...

Rating: 5/10

You know, itīs kind of strange that I as a Bond-fan, hasīnt read any of the novels. Well at least not until last summer when I decided to buy the bookīs and read them in the correct order. A good friend of mine actually managed to find "Casino Royale" in swedish so I asked him to pick it up for me. For about a month later I went to my grandmaīs place a few miles away from where I live. I had been there for a week when I realized that the book was in my bag! I picked it up and started to read. After the first chapter, I was stuck!! Three days later me and my father went to "The 007 Museum" in Nybro, Sweden. The trip there took for about eight hours so while he was driving.

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!

I donīt why but itīs wonderful and pure Bond! Iīm convinced itīs my favourite book of all time actually! Though when I was done with "CR" I took a break from the bookīs īcause I needed to melt it... Now Iīm back on the track and in the middle of "Live And Let Die". But for now, "CR" is the best book ever written in my opinion!!
